Immense pleasure to announce our long cherished desire of finally launching our website. I truly believe and hope that everyone will be really glad with the inaugural of this website. We are preliminarily starting of the website and hope to gradually develop and enrich the website in due course.

I would like to convey my thanks to the CULLA Website Idea & Development Committee who completed this troublesome job engaging his valuable times and also his team members as well as all contributors.

We acknowledged the nice contributions of all contributors and I am so glad that our convenor tried to accommodate them in Acknowledgement section of this website. Thanks and gratitude to all.
I hope our website will introduce a new horizon in strengthening our relationship.

Greetings Fellow CULLA Members!

I’m excited to be writing you as the Secretary of the Committee. There are some great things happening with CULLA and I want to introduce you to what we do. First, I’d like to share a bit about our association. In 2001, it was first established at Dhaka as an association of former law students from CU Law Faculty with activities mostly centred round Supreme Court of Bangladesh. The concept and idea for forming this Association is to unite all existing and upcoming members and to develop the friendship among the former and current students of law faculty of University of Chittagong. Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory. Our law faculty was the environment that created memories. The first organizers by the fibre of that memory formed this Association under a lot of limitations including money. I appreciate those pyrrhic organizers for creating propinquity among us. Little by little, the Association has grown up with huge number of members, guardians and well-wishers. To me, CULLA is an opportunity to make a ‘Thick Connection’ that are the bonds that already exist and to be more in future. I adumbrate you all not to make the mistake of discounting these connections as it forms a web, a network that can be both uplifting and incredibly useful. Whenever you move any place like Court, Attorney office, Corporate offices, Bank/Financial Institutions, NGO, Embassy, Film, Journalism, Politics, there will be CULLA people acting as Judge, attorney, banker, officer, pleader, advocate, journalist, film maker, environment specialist, govt high official, political leader, social activist and many more. They have shown their performances, talents, advocacy which are highly appreciated in all forums. I remember, Hon’ble Justices of the High Court Division were highly appreciating the qualities of our practising lawyers while delivering speech at our gathering at Supreme Court Bar Auditorium sometime in 2014. These people are inclined to welcome you, they will introduce you to new friends, or show you the best places. If you are in difficulty, you will see CULLA people are around you. While organizing annual picnics, it happened to us both in River Cruise and Dhali’s Amber. We received best possible help from our people, our CULLA people. CULLA is now a mellifluous name in all potential arenas, in particular bar and judiciary, because of fraternity under thick connections. We are paean example of unity. We patch the holes. Heal the wounds, and nice to each other with no difference on ‘point of unity’. While taking the charge of Secretary in 2014, I made a commitment to introduce a Web-site of CULLA as a part of connectivity, which has now become visible. Gradually, this will be updated with more useful options.               

It is an honour and privilege for me to welcome you all for visiting the web-site. I wish to extend my deep appreciation to the committee for supporting me and the team worked for it relentlessly. I’m also thankful to all Members, Advisers and Board of Honour of CULLA. While I cannot mention each one by name here I hope that they will take this as a personal. thank you.    

I am very much glad to know that the website  of CULLA has been launched!  It was our long cherished Desire. I congratulate the executive committee on the eve of entering new era. I believe, every body will be glad to see this website. Right this moment, I am slightly reminiscent. I am involved with the organization from the day of Journey. Due to our  limitations of quantity and thought, we never had dream that it would be a 500 member’s organization one day;  Today I believe, it would be cherished and enriched day by day. However, on the date of journey, it was a far fetched phenomenon. I  would like to convey my thanks to Mr. Kazi Shamsul Hassan Shuvo, President &  Mr. Kausar Alam Samir, Secretary for their nice initiatives! I also want to convey my thanks to Mr. Md. Anwar Hussain (5th batch) as well as his all the  team members from the bottom of my heart with all contributors  who completed this troublesome job taking mountainous pain and  engaging their valuable times.
I truly believe that this website will play effective role to enhance fraternity as well as to bridge the solidarity of law department world wide.

Dear Members and all,Years ago CULLA started its humble journey with a very few members and much fewer resources. Thanks to forward looking thinking and initiative of those few and efforts of
subsequent torch bearers that CULLA has kept moving on and gradually grown to its present
stature and volume. At present it is an organization of more than 500 members and growing by
the days. It has long been a requirement and necessity to have a virtual presence of the
organization so that apart from all, the organization itself can reach to its members with ease. It
is my pleasure to see that finally we have been able to launch our own website. I must admit, our
website is not yet as rich as we all would like it to be, but it is there and we can work for its
improvement and development. Hopefully, those shortcomings would also be addressed very
soon and it will assist CULLA to move further towards achieving its objectives.
